Chontala, Guatemala; Last saturday we met a community of  healers. The fabrics were crafted by artists of Chontala's Widow's Cooperative. These women lost their spouses, among many other family members, during Guatemala's 36 year internal conflict. Their business was formed as a response to the immense social, economic, environmental and psychological devastation of their community.  It was a gift to hear their stories.
